One of Saskatchewan's Top Destinations

Our lodge is situated on a peninsula approximately in the middle of our fishing area. From here, we access both waters up and down river which provides excellent Pike, Walleye and Grayling action. There’s enough fishing access from the main lodge to satisfy at least a couple of days of outstanding fishing opportunities.

The Camp

Your group of 4 - 10 people will have the entire area as your own! Wheeler River Lodge offers an experience like no other; a quiet remote spot where you can be alone with your thoughts. We take great pride in our accommodation, camp area and equipment.

• Modern light housekeeping, lodge complete with hot/cold running water and shower
• All drinking water is treated to Provincial standards
• Power generator
• Propane stove & fridge
• Newly installed cell booster tower works the same as any cell service - both voice and data are available depending on your plan.

The Main Lodge & Cabins

There are three bedrooms. One has a queen bed and the other two have four bunks.

Recreation

Take our tandem kayak for a half hour paddle to your own secluded beach or float the river at dusk if that intrigues you. The options are endless. Some easy hikes are available. We’d be glad to show you the way!

At every turn of your head, wide open views of unspolied wilderness. The rugged beauty of the boreal forest houses many sightseeing treasures. Lake views, river views, and all of it without buildings or crowds to spoil the experience.

Trophy Quality Fishing

There is an excellent chance to land all of our five species (Walleye, Northern Pike, Lake Trout, Arctic Grayling and Whitefish) in a single day. With miles of water access from our river system as well as several walk-in lakes, you'll find it impossible to fish all our waters on your first trip. That's one of the reasons many of our guests return year after year.
